Is Barcelona a landmark city in the world of fashion?
Barcelona is a city known worldwide for its design and creativity, it has been the cradle of great designers, architects, artists and chefs with international prestige, just to mention some disciplines.
The fashion industry has also been a recurring theme in this city and now again it has the opportunity to position Barcelona as one of the International HUBS, thanks to events such as the 080 Barcelona Fashion Week, to prestigious designers, brands and startups related to this industry.
But…
Is there a real opportunity for Barcelona to stand out in a place currently occupied by other cities?
Is there enough talent and entrepreneurs in the sector?
Is there support from the government?
Are there opportunities to undertake?
To answer those questions, the organization of Barcelona Loves Entrepreneurs (BLE), wanted to bring together different reference profiles in the sector among which is Luis Manent, CEO and Co-Founder of Wide Eyes Technologies, who will share the setting with other major players in the fashion industry such as:
- Miguel Rodríguez, General Manager of the 080 Barcelona Fashion Week
- Albert Garriga, CEO of The Shopping Night Barcelona
- Mercedes Salgado, Manager of the Master in Management of Industry and Fashion Design Master in Counseling and Styling, Image and Communication ESDI
- Nuria Castro, CEO of Offemily
- Cristina Brossa, Co-Founder and Project Manager of Uniqbrow
Thus, at the BLE AND FASHION this December 16th, in the Damm Beer Factory of Barcelona, the present and future of the fashion industry in the context of the city of Barcelona, will be analyzed and discussed at the hands of ESDI, 080 Barcelona Fashion Week, Wide Eyes Technologies, Offemily, The Shopping Night Barcelona and Uniqbrow
Additionally, The BLE platform also wants to give the opportunity to 10 entrepreneurs to present their project in a dynamic format: elevator pitch. And speaking of fashion, obviously you cannot miss a fashion show. On this occasion, it will be a fashion show of young fashion designers of the ESDI design school.
